About This Event
This is the San Juan pride march, the Marcha del Orgullo LGBTIQ+ organized by the Colectivo Orgullo Arcoíris (COA) with more than forty partner groups, and it is the same event this site also lists as San Juan Pride. It began in the early 1990s as a memorial and protest during the AIDS years and reached its 36th edition in 2026.
It is a march, not a ticketed festival. Contingents gather at Parque del Indio in Condado, walk Ashford Avenue, the so-called Ruta Arcoíris, and finish at Parque del Tercer Milenio by El Escambrón, where an arts festival with music closes the day.
Practical: it starts at 11am in full Caribbean sun, and the organizers tell people to bring sunscreen and water. Condado guesthouses near Ashford put you at the start line, and the finish is a short ride from Old San Juan. The Puerto Rico Queer Filmfest runs in late May, so the two can be combined.
The 2026 march took place on Sunday 7 June, branded Pride Fest 2026, under the slogan "Dignidad, Memoria y Lucha: nuestra historia continúa". No attendance count was published, and we couldn't verify the 50,000 this page carried. The 2027 date hadn't been announced when we checked; the march is usually on a Sunday in early June.
