AmericInn by Wyndham Ames

Horrible experience! I’ve been coming here for 5+ years to swim, when my pops comes down from out of state we always come here to enjoy the time in the pool and hottub, i’ve always paid to do so, but this one time some guy name SAM that worked there and he came in and yelled at me because i had went past my time (didn’t know) and then we asked to play pool on the table and he said yes, then proceeded to come back on and scream at us, we will not be attending this hotel anymore and i definitely don’t suggest it after the amount of disrespect i received. Sam if you’re reading this, revise your words and action.

Passing threw and called in to book room and asked for late checkout (12) as we wouldn't be there till after 5 am and they said no proble, well come 10:30 they decide to start ramming a vacuum into our door for 30 minutes straight and then started calling the room.

Canceled my room 5 days before my arrival. They said they can get $800 a night because of a massive concert. I booked under points so they wouldnt make any money

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. I paid for 2 queens and got 2 full size beds and the room did not come with any bath towels. They were able to get me more towels but it was annoying that I had to go request some in the first place. Breakfast was okay but lacking.

Clean rooms ,good breakfast & awesome pool & hot tub .

Tried to scam me on price because it was late. Lowest price was 2x the online price

Great place hot tub and pool are perfect. Rooms are amazing

Stayed 3 days over the weekend. Great night sleep in very clean room. Will try and stay here everything I come. My kids give it 5 stars also.

I truly don’t understand how this place is rated 4.4 stars. Please, please reconsider before booking. I came to the area for a nursing event and stayed five nights. For the first two days, I left before sunrise and returned after dark, so I didn’t notice much. The room was outdated and dusty, but since the rate wasn’t high, I tried not to make it a big deal. The shampoo provided was a tiny bottle not nearly enough for a multi-night stay but they did give me more when I asked. The bigger issues started afterward. I went to use the pool one evening and slipped on the stairs. The steps are built on a downward slope instead of sitting level like normal pool stairs. There is a small “Watch your step” sign, but there is no reason for pool steps to be uneven like that. I’ve never fallen in a pool in my life, and I wasn’t rushing or being careless. I let that go, but it was definitely unsafe. On my day off, I finally saw the room in daylight and that’s when I realized the blanket and pillowcases I had been sleeping with were dirty and covered in blood stains. My husband called the front desk, and they told him I needed to personally bring the blanket to them if I wanted clean bedding. They claimed they couldn’t leave the desk, but when I walked over, no one was even there. When the staff member finally appeared, he tried to tell me the blanket “wasn’t dirty” until I physically showed him the stains. He then told me they had no replacement blankets and housekeeping wouldn’t return until the next day. Instead, he gave me a brown throw blanket from the back laundry area. At that point, I was beyond frustrated and told him I wanted to check out. He refused a refund and said, “Whatever you want to do.” My husband contacted Staybridge to explain what happened, and they were shocked. They immediately helped us move and even offered a discount because of how bad the situation was. I was genuinely in tears by the end of this experience. The lack of cleanliness, the unsafe pool stairs, and the complete lack of care from the AmericInn staff made this stay a nightmare. There was no protective cover on the blankets, the bedding was filthy, and the staff’s response was dismissive at best. Please save yourself the stress there are many other hotels in the area that actually care about cleanliness, safety, and basic hospitality. This one is simply not worth the headache because now I will have to file a claim for the days I’m not staying.

Staff overall was very personable and helpful. Didn't try the breakfast beyond the first day. The hot portion was limited to only the biscuits and gravy...no egg dish. Only the 1 ice machine which is near the front desk. Parking seemed plentiful but not sure what it's like if the hotel is packed. Room was clean and ready for my stay. Beds were comfortable. Good water flow in shower with adjustable showerhead. Needed to add an additional night which was done. Check-in and check-out went smoothly except for check-in regarding being able to see if I was still on loyalty program. Worked out a deal with the clerk to come up with an acceptable pricing rate anyway.

Lovely clean rooms with great pool area. Staff was very friendly and rooms were very clean.
