The trash wasn’t clean, bedsheets wasn’t clean, and it was just very dirty.

This is a good combination of location (near metro station), dining options (several from which to choose) and price (affordability) leads to the high rating. A good find for those on a budget.

The receptionists are lazy and unfriendly. When experiencing a problem with booking, she was uncaring and unapologetic. She made no attempt to help rectify it and immediately removed herself from responsibility. Received no help and took my services elsewhere.

1 out of 5 stars I have stayed at Sonesta hotels well over 100 times. It is my favorite hotel brand in America. I pay premium prices without hesitation and have recommended Sonesta to everyone I know — colleagues, staff, and friends. Tonight, May 20, 2026, around 2–4 AM, I approached the front entrance looking to book a room. A front desk employee — who told me his name was Pap — met me at the locked door and asked if I had a reservation. I said no. He asked if I had a key card. I said no. When I asked about available rooms, he waved me off and told me to leave. There was no “we’re fully booked.” No “let me check for you.” No basic human decency. Just dismissal. I waited outside for my car. Before I left, I asked for his name so I could leave an accurate review. He gave me his name, then asked why I wanted it. When I told him I was writing a review, he looked at me with open contempt and walked away without another word — back behind a locked door. I was dressed well. I was calm. I did nothing to warrant that treatment. It didn’t matter. This man looked at me like I was street trash and made me feel like the worst person who had ever walked up to that door. I have never in my life been treated this way at a hotel — or anywhere. One employee, in one interaction, has ended a relationship I had with this brand for years. I will not stay at another Sonesta. I will not recommend Sonesta to anyone. Ever again. Sonesta, you should know who represents you at 3 in the morning — because that is when your brand either holds or falls apart. Tonight, it fell apart.
