About this place Banks Ave Bar

Banks Ave Bar is a gay-friendly neighbourhood bar at 32 Banks Avenue, just south of downtown Asheville. It is not a dedicated gay bar, but it runs regular LGBTQ programming, including drag and karaoke on Sundays, line dancing nights and a recurring Sapphic Tea Dance, which brings in a good share of the city's queer crowd. The room is relaxed and the crowd is mostly local. Google reviews average 4.4 from about 390. Banks Avenue is a short walk from the centre and from other LGBTQ-friendly bars nearby. Check the bar's website for the current weekly schedule, because themed nights move around.

Great bartenders. Fun spot on the weekends. Interchangeable with O'Henry's as the best gay/drag bar in Asheville.

Idk if they had food honestly I didn't see any listed. Have 3 pool tables and a vending machine for vapes 😂 slightly lower than average drink prices but good location to have parking. Also another lil bar or something next door. Everyone was hopping between the both. Definitely a vibe. Definitely a great spot for a night out. Only down side is no one yelled last call so we missed getting our last drink but otherwise was fun night for all

Claims to be all inclusive but was selective on who they let in. Waited in line for almost an hour spent at least 30 minutes as the next to be let in. Claimed they were at capacity. Then let 8 people who just walked up in without checking ID or checking capacity then continued to say they were at capacity. Clearly breaking local laws. Service was also not worth the wait. Do not go here.
