First time visit to Asheville. So glad we stayed at the River Cabins. Great views, peace and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit after long days walking and hiking. General manager John was very attentive and answered any questions we had promptly. Various wildlife is around the grounds. We saw a white squirrel, Canadian geese, ducks, turkeys, and an eagle! Definitely coming back again!
Even with neighbors it was the most quiet, serene place we have been in a while. The staff by text was excellent and speedy with all requests and questions. We enjoyed the games provided at the lounge. Many things nature related near by ,we did paddle boats and kayaking at Julian Park. Wonderful place for photos 📸
Stayed her for 4 nights with my family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens). The garden view cabin was the perfect size for us. Everything was immaculately clean and all provided to be able to cook our own meals. Staff was very attentive to our requests. Would definitely stay her again.
We came and stayed here for a few days. This place is absolutely beautiful!! They definitely have the serene setup, perfect for relaxing. So pretty!!! A few things would make a visit here much more pleasing. When we arrived the outdoor furniture and deck were not cleaned off. We had to sweep and wipe down everything before sitting on any chairs. The grass was not cut or cleaned up and there was a wasp nest under the grill. We requested wasp spray but no response. The hot tub was not terribly dirty but there was debris and dirt in the bottom which we feel should have been cleaned out better before our arrival. The inside of the cabin we stayed in was pretty clean. The TV in the bedroom didn't work our first night but luckily we were able to figure out a way to fix it, since we texted as we were asked, but never got a response. There were some ants in our bathroom that will need to be taken care of. I understand the self check in, which is great! But a welcome center or office to have someone welcome and greet you would make this place feel like you are meant to be there. We never saw or spoke to anyone in person who may run it. The office/coffee bar area that they advertise was never opened for our viewing. Some better communication, in person greeting and even a little gift shop would be great. It was a very quiet place and we would recommend it based on the spectacular views outside. Staff present would definitely make it feel more inviting in our opinion.
I cannot recommend this place enough. 11/10 from the room, to the service and the location. This is such a relaxing and rejuvenating spring time spot. (We went 5/14-5/17). River rushing, birds chirping, comfortable cabins, morning sauna to sunset fire pit. My highest rating goes to the staff - anything I needed, they brought it within the hour. Sheets, towels, a wine opener and even a steamer! They had all of the supplies a hotel would have, but we were still able to feel like we were on a solo getaway. 5 stars - 10 if i could put that many. Thank you for helping us have the most enjoyable weekend!
This place was cozy and very clean. There are several different kinds of accommodations, we stayed in a cabin with a loft that had a hot tub, BBQ and fire pit. It was the perfect amount of room and a good location. We even had the pleasure of a visit from a couple of chill neighborhood bears that kept their distance while we were out in the hot tub. It was the cherry on top of our visit to the mountains!
Went for wedding weekend. Great rooms/cabins. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean. Would definitely go again 👍👍
