Cedar Crest Inn

Beautiful inn, lovely staff, and excellent service! Be aware that it's quite close to the hospital so lots of sirens and med flight sounds depending on the night, but otherwise a wonderful stay! Coffee on the huge wraparound porch in the morning is a must.

So this place was very quaint and pretty. The service deserves a 10 it was definitely excellent! I was disappointed in the fact that there was not an elevator. I had to carry my suitcase up three floors other than that it was a great stay.

Absolutely beautiful Victorian mansion built in 1891. Three stories. We stayed two days; first day on the second floor up the flight of stairs. No elevators. Second day we stayed downstairs in the A.Reese room. It has two bathrooms and was very nice! The house is filled with antique furniture and has a great history. I especially loved the open fireplace on the ground floor. It also has a smaller fireplace in the dining area. The continental breakfast was great. We had use of a microwave and small refrigerator. Coffee anytime. It’s very close to the Biltmore House. Approximately 3 minutes. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. I definitely will be back!

I stayed here for 3 nights. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The Inn is quiant and pleasant. I absolutely loved reading in front of the fireplace. You can tell that the staff takes care of the place. The only downsides which the staff can't really help are: the thinness of the walls, the location, and the parking. I stayed on the first floor in room 1, the Reese Study, and I feel like I heard everything. I heard the bell going off when new customers checked in, I head the orientation presented by the inn staff, and I heard the room above me. On the last night the guests had some sort of medical device that caused the ceiling fan in my room to vibrate. The bass was so loud that I actually thought it was a car parked by and called the Ashville police for a noise ordinance. An hour after the device was turned on (11:30pm), did it get turned down to a reasonable level, and I believe it was only because the guests probably over heard me and the employee trying to investigate where the noise was coming from. That night at best I got three hours of sleep which was unfortunate because I had a four hour commute back home. The inn is located by a busy street that seems to have cars coming in at all hours. No matter how I positioned the curtains car headlights routinely flashed in my room. Again, it's nothing the inn can help with, but if you book the Reese study that's what you can expect. The parking for me at least was bit dicey. If you have a bigger vehicle pulling out might be an issue.

We really enjoyed our stay! It felt like you were back in time but with some comforts of home. Christie and her staff were amazing from check in, to breakfast, and her cleaning crew! Can’t wait to come back time and time again!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Sets the mood for visiting the Biltmore by staying in historic B&B. Nice amenities in Butlers pantry.

This was an absolute beautiful place to stay. The styling of the home is phenomenal. I couldn’t help but be mesmerized. We stayed in the Reese Study room which was lovely with its own entrance. Christy was so kind and made sure that we had everything we needed. I have already recommended this place to two other people and we can’t wait to go back!

A really cool old place to stay. The staff were great. The breakfast was nice also. The rooms were very clean. We would stay there again.

We loved our stay at Cedar Crest Inn! Growing up reading 19th century novels gave me a deep love for Victorian houses. Cedar Crest is a beautiful example of the time period and made me feel like I was stepping back in time, but with a few more modern conveniences. The beds are incredibly comfortable. We stayed in the tower room and it felt like a private retreat. Christy, the innkeeper, was warm and friendly and offered us great recommendations for local eateries. The inn is located very close to the Biltmore estate and I don’t feel like we missed anything by not staying on the property!

The Inn is beautiful and the staff was second to none. Fireplaces, locally brewed coffee, and peaceful quiet made for a fantastic stay.

This 1891 property is a fabulous wonder for preservationists and antiquatians (,or those tha marvel at pre-1900s building and architecture). The rooms are fabulous, mandatory code updates do not detract from original features, and it was a pleasant and quiet place to stay. This is also walkable to and from the Biltmore Village. It was completed four years prior to the Biltmore and has its own amazing history and construction details.

Fabulous! Quiet and romantic. Friendly staff made us feel at home but with the right measure of privacy. Lovely!
