Rooms were a little tight, but for the money this is the perfect place for value in Aspen, we were here to enjoy maroon bells sunrise and this was the closest place we could find without breaking our bank. The receptionist was very attentive to all the guest and suggested us great places for dine in and to get around the city. Would be visiting them back for sure if we ever are in the area.

Was there for Memorial day weekend trip to Aspen and loved it! The service is phenomenal and with friendly team and literally at foothill of the Aspen mountains. The buffet was lovely and so convenient to get around town or on trails. Highly recommend! Enjoyed the stay!

This, is by far the worst most careless and badly run place I have ever stayed in. My husband and I are were to crash here for a couple of hours after our Maroon Bells hike and because we were driving from Denver, we had specifically booked for a place with parking. When we checked in before the hike, we saw that all the parking spaces of the hostel are taken so we enquired at the front desk where to park. She directed us to the gravel area right opposite the lodge. When we returned from our hike that entire road was full. There was no place 2 blocks up and down the lodge. We call the night manager and first he doesn't respond. We try again in various nooks and still can't find a space that doesn't block something - some other house's curb, someone's mail box, some garbage can and leaving it so far from the hostel did not seem safe. So we called again and the night manager refused to assist and just says to find street parking somewhere. I was already ill when we returned and this whole hour of running around unnecessarily after an exhausting day made my health so much worse. After we returned to our rooms my health deteriorated even further and my husband in a panic calls the night manager inquiring for an emergency/ first aid kit to look for some electrolyte/cold pack/OTC meds/portable oxy can, because no pharmacy was open in a 50 mile radius and he just says there's none. When my husband asks for a recommended urgent care he just asks to look online for a doc. They host hikers and skiers and this is the level of unpreparedness they run their business with. The rooms are very small so we already are only paying for the location and service and for this service I wouldn't spend a dime. Absolutely ridiculous place.

For someone just wanting a place to stay in town to walk around and not necessarily go skiing, it was just perfect. Their pool is heated and the sauna is small but works greatly! Off-season is definitely my recommendation! They have a shared kitchen set-up, so bring food to make it yourself! No breakfast offered during off-season, only coffee and tea. Staff was really friendly!

The room was uncomfortably warm, and the fan couldn’t be adjusted, which made it difficult to cool the space. The bathroom door also kept jamming, which was frustrating. Thought breakfast was included but it was crossed out when we received our room key without any explanation. We were also told that tea or wine would be served in the late afternoon/evening, but nothing was available when we came down to check. Although there was a coffee maker in the room, no coffee or tea was provided. Additionally, we found an unfinished drink left in the fridge, which suggests the room hadn’t been thoroughly checked before our arrival. Overall, we were relieved that we only stayed one night.
