Tyrolean Lodge

This place is truly a gem. Reasonably priced, excellent location, well maintained, friendly and helpful staff....I could go on. It's walkable to everything in downtown Aspen and steps from the free ski buses. If you're traveling with a group and you don't have $$$$ to blow, this is your place!

If you grew up around here this is one of the few remaing ski lodgings, LOTS OF CHARACTER, which is why we keep coming back. Don't stay here if you party or make noise after 10, serious skiers stay here and need their sleep. Second perfect visit this year.. Thanks all.

Quaint very reasonably-priced inn (with in-room kitchenette!) in central Aspen, 10 min walk to the slopes [And to the 1-star reviewer below, they don’t control the weather and have a very clearly stated cancellation policy — they’re an independent inn, not a large Marriott] Booked this last-minute as the only reasonably priced accommodation available during Aspen Gay Ski Week and they did not disappoint! Rooms are spacious and well-equipped. Ours could sleep five -- 2 queens and a twin) and had a fully equipped kitchenette with basic dishes, cookware, etc. ~10 minute walk to the slopes, and the (free) bus lines to the various Mountains all stop within a block of the place (including to Aspen/Ajax if you don’t want to lug your skis) Will definitely stay here next time I’m in Aspen!

I was booked for a stay January 7th through January 10th, 2026. I booked this several months in advance and was charged for my stay in two payments on October 13th and December 8th, 2025. As it came closer to may stay it was clear weather conditions were not conducive to skiing so I reached out to see if I could get a later date or a refund if that was impossible. When I was denied, the customer service person lied to me that ski conditions were set to improve before my stay. When I pointed out this error, he raised his voice and took on an aggressive tone. I was able to maintain my calm demeaner and the customer service person moved forward as if his outburst hadn’t occurred. I feel empathy given I was surely not the only person calling, but it does not extend to letting someone treat me poorly. I concluded the conversation by wishing that he'd have a calmer temper with his next customer to which he laughed at me and denied he'd lost his temper. I don't appreciate the lack of flexibility, dishonesty, or gaslighting for a hotel that cost $900. Photos included show current conditions and weather report preceeding my stay.

I was supposed to stay here for five nights, but my experience was very disappointing. When I arrived, BOTH of the double beds in my room had hairs in them… and the beds didn’t look or feel clean. I ended up sleeping fully clothed for my entire stay. On the fourth night, I called to ask if I could get a refund for the fifth night since I no longer needed it. I was told “no, we don’t do refunds.” However, when the person who originally booked the hotel for me - emailed them, suddenly a refund was possible. This felt dishonest. The next day at 11 a.m., the front desk called me angrily and said I had to check out immediately. The night before, I had confirmed with him whether I still had the room for the fifth night since he insisted there were no refunds, so I had no reason to rush. Had I known the refund went through, I would of course have checked out on time. Overall, the situation felt misleading, unprofessional, and very poorly handled. Thankfully we were not charged for the last night, but the experience was far from good.

Horrible. Rooms were filthy and there were bedbugs!!! No where to park there are literally five parking spots. And we had to wait over an hour in the office to check in and get our room key bc there was no one working there. The guy who finally showed up had a half an excuse about how he didn’t hear his phone? Why wouldn’t someone be in the office at all times during check in hours? He was super rude and acted like we were inconveniencing him.

Clean rooms, excellent management, reasonable rates. Walking distance to Aspen sights.
