The location is right in front of the Atlantic ocean. We enjoyed the ocean view very much. The beach and ocean is right outside the sliding door. It has a nice belcony. The bed is comfortable but the room is somewhat clean. We are planning coming back someday.

Nice place located on the beach, walk out in the morning to the ocean. At night go out and listen to and watch the waves. A short drive to pretty much any place we wanted to go to.

Awesome place to stay.We were on the 6th floor and it gave such a great view of the Ocean! Rooms very large and very clean. In the middle of Bogue Island so it was a short 10 to 15 minute drive to Moorehead,Beauford towns.

Room was dirty. Floors were sandy, microwave was dirty. Room had not been dusted. Cost 80 dollars to park which was a surprise charge.Need to invest in new mattresses.

This is our second beach vacation at Crystal Coast and we will book next years' summer vacation there. Never disappoints!

This is my honest and fair assessment of the experience we had, good and bad. First I want to say, the hotel is a great location with great amenities and views. However we had several issues, mostly with our keycards deactivating daily. I was told if they get near a phone or magnet stuff it wipes them. In this day and age that is near impossible to avoid. I never have issues at other hotels with keycards, so I’m guessing they just need to upgrade their keycard system. Second, the provided towels, washcloths and pillows for 4 people were lacking. I had to ask for 2 more pillows for the 4th person staying in our room and only 3 towels and washcloths were provided. Easy fix we just asked for more and they provided them. The shower left more to be desired, the shampoo bottle pump did not work and we didn’t bother asking them to fix it as we brought our own. And the shower curtain sticks to you in the shower which was icky and does nothing for keeping the water off the floor. 3rd, the phone in our room did not work at all even though it was plugged up, again no big deal as we all had cell phones. A big concern was our balcony door did not lock, maybe from the mechanism getting salty and sandy in a humid environment? Either way big issue when you have a curious 5 year old with you, so we had to put a chair in front of the door at night as a safety measure. Also the layout of the room was not thought through. The air conditioner would blast in your face located right beside the bed. If you turned it down it would get too hot , but a pro is the air worked very well. It would have been better if located on opposite side of sliding door though. I will say if I bothered to bring any of this up I am sure they would have fixed it, but I did not feel like sitting in my room waiting on maintenance or someone else so we didn’t bother. They have a poolside bar (great!), however the bartender our last 2 days made my rum and coke with Diet Coke one night, without asking me if I was ok with diet. And the second night he used what I assume was leftover Diet Coke from an unrefrigerated plastic container, which was flat instead of just going inside and restocking cold cokes. Here are some surprises you should know if you book here. 1. They will charge a $20 a day parking fee at checkin. Several people could be heard being shocked to hear this when walking through lobby to go to pool or beach. It is not easily found or seen when booking online. 2. They will charge a $25 early checkin fee if you arrive early and your room is ready. I can say I have never been charged for early checkin anywhere before. Pro’s: location, view, and amenities. Cons: outdated rooms with non working phone, locks, and toiletries, surprise fees at checkin, and the restaurant was pricey (food was good though). Would I book here again? No. Would I recommend? Maybe but would warn about fees.
