I booked a 3-night stay here a few weeks ago for vacation and I wasn't notified of THEM cancelling my booking until I was already in Chicago area. I showed up anyway, thinking there must've been a miscommunication. Mind you, they charged me a cancellation fee so I am being robbed of double what I paid originally and no one on the phone can help me. I showed up and they are saying all reservations have been cancelled due to their system being down. I can understand that, but I want my refund. I talk to several people on the phone and the man in person, they all say the refund will be processed once they confirm all details, they all say different estimated times ranging from 24 hours to 14 business days. At this point of me writing this, it has been 4 days and I still don't have my refund. I have been calling every 24 hours for updates because they keep telling me they would reach out to me but they don't. Also they claim they can't reach the hotel staff to confirm details when I can reach both. But they can't reach each other for some reason? It's just all very sketchy. Every person I talk to also is slightly accusative, they accuse me of booking incorrectly or cancelling it myself. None of which is true and they always admit they're wrong after reading the details on my booking/support ticket. As of right now, I am now short over $600 because of them and no one seems to know an answer to give me. DO NOT BOOK WITH OYO!!! This is by far the most ridiculous situation I've been in regarding hotels.

I recently stayed at the Plaza Inn and had mixed feelings about the experience. The rooms themselves were spacious, clean, and nicely set up, which I appreciated. However, several advertised amenities were either unavailable or not working. The hotel advertises free Wi-Fi, but there was no working Wi-Fi during my stay. The signs also mention jacuzzis, yet none of the jacuzzis were functional. There is a sign stating there is an ice machine on the first floor, but there was no ice machine available. In addition, none of the room doors had proper safety latches, which raised concerns about security. Another inconvenience was the lack of a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. Guests have to walk to the nearby Kings Inn just to get ice or use a microwave, which was very inconvenient. Overall, the rooms have good space and potential, but management should make sure advertised amenities are actually available and improve basic guest conveniences and safety features.
