Came on a Friday night for Supper Club and the menu started out strong and experimental (in the best ways). I think the second half was just ok - the meats tasted tougher and dryer. Even though the portions are small, there were so many courses and I left very full. I also got the non-alcoholic beverage pairing as well and felt like most of them were very complementary. Knocking them down a star (partially for the second half of the meal and) for the dinner set up. It's a communal dining table. But since I was a party of one and was seated on the edge, I felt extremely isolated and alienated most of the time. I don't think it was the restaurant's fault as the vibe depends on who your other diners are, but if I was going to eat a meal by myself, I would have preferred to be sat at a separate table by myself.

Two hours of torture that cost an insane amount. Expect to pay around $350 for some of the worst food you've had in your life, but only morsels. I feel scammed and taken advantage of after this. There is no price listed anywhere and they charge hidden fees that literally mean nothing but are ways to just charge you more. A health and wellness fee??? The "story telling" is just them telling you they went iut and picked such and such from this or that place. It was extremely underwhelming and overpriced.

A masterclass in overcharging for underdelivering. We paid $500 for two people and the only thing generous about this experience was the bill. The food was forgettable, and the portions were so small they'd insult a toddler. For a prix fixe at this price point, "fine dining" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. The wine "pairing" was a joke each pour was barely enough to wet your lips. Think of it less as a glass of wine and more as a wine-scented memory. But the real performance of the evening wasn't the food it was the endless hidden fees. A forced gratuity. A mysterious $25 "health and wellness fee" that nobody warned us about. And the pièce de résistance: they charged an extra $8 per person for coffee, coffee that is printed right there on their own prix fixe menu. At this point it felt less like a restaurant and more like a hostage situation where they reveal the ransom at the end. And then there's the host, nervously pacing the room, It had all the polish of a middle school talent show presentation and all the anxiety of a perp pleading their innocence to the fuzz. You could live a full, rich, and deeply satisfying life having never set foot in this place. Do that instead.

Kin provides an amazing fine dining experience with unique dishes, interesting art installments, and a by-course narrative that complements the meal. I love the "kin" experience of sitting close to strangers without barriers, and we always have great conversations with the diners next to us. The food is artfully and thoughtfully planned - with interesting (and delicious) textures, flavor combinations, and ingredients. Bravo Kin!

Chef Matt treated us to an amazing night filled with amazing flavors. To boot is the staff supporting chef. All around an amazing an amazing experience!

The staff was very attentive to us and anticipating our preferences. They were very responsive and the food was very unique with complex flavors that you wouldn't get at any other restaurant. Definitely a fun and unique experience.

It's $$$$ but never a bad meal here - even at the Arthaus. Arthaus is probably our most visited bar in Boise. I wish we could dine at KIN every week too....

Mediocre at best. Food was not at the level of the hype ( I have eaten at several michelin star rated restaurants and comparable high end places with pre-fixe menus both us based and internationally). Wine pairing was abysmal from screw top bottles. Not worth the price. The ingredient pairings were something I would expect from an inexperienced chef experimenting on a weekend at home. Over salted risotto dish was gross and couldn’t finish the dessert. You are better off going to Chandler’s or Barbacoa for the price as you get better food for 2 people for the cost of 1 person here.

Interesting restaurant. This venue is group seating with weird group presentations about the food, but a massive disconnect from the reality of the food. It sounded like they are in the middle of significant turnover and it was unclear why they kept talking about it. I appreciate any food venue that is trying to be good or great. This location offers 5 tiny dishes as a package that varried from excellent to exceptionally average. The drink and wine parings were terrible and represented a total failure and misunderstanding of both food and wine. The size of the servings was insanely small and definitely overall was quite overpriced. Worth the stop if you just want a random experiment, but they are not ready for the price they are charging.

Came here a few weeks ago and was blown away. Every course was executed with such precision and creativity that it genuinely felt like a full experience, not just a meal. I normally don’t even like seafood, yet the dishes here were so beautifully balanced and thoughtfully prepared that I couldn’t get enough of it. KIN delivers on every level—from presentation, to flavor, to service—and easily stands out as one of the best dining experiences in Boise. I can’t wait to come back.
