I love the happy hour at the Owyhee Tavern. Great food selections. The HH cocktail offerings used to be much better but they're ok. I wish they'd bring back the ginger margarita; it was top notch! The Espresso Martini is the best I've had in town (but is not on the HH menu).

The atmosphere here is genuinely lovely, and the drinks were very good. Overall, the food was delicious and clearly prepared with care. I thoroughly enjoyed my steak, though I am somewhat suspicious that it wasn't actually the specific cut I ordered. Unfortunately, the service was a significant letdown and detracted from the meal. Our appetizer plates were left sitting on the table and never cleared before our entrees arrived, which made the dining experience feel cluttered. To make matters worse, we were served our mains without being given proper steak knives. It’s a shame because the kitchen is clearly doing a great job, but the front-of-house execution and attention to detail just aren't there yet.

Love everything about this place, especially the way they value their customers by providing excellent service and solid food.

A-alright, burp let’s do this scientifically. I spent over $250 on a date night because I was told this place had amazing food. burp What I received was a rack of lamb that appeared to be halfway between dinner and a successful escape attempt. A few hours later, burp my digestive system decided it no longer wished to be part of the same organization. Stomach cramps, nausea, diarrhea—the whole package. Now look, burp I’m not saying the restaurant made me sick. What I am saying is that if I eat a suspiciously undercooked rack of lamb and then spend the evening negotiating with my stomach, I’m gonna at least consider the possibility that these events may be related. So I called the restaurant. burp Big mistake. The manager’s defense was basically, “Nobody else complained.” Oh wow, burp incredible. Truly Nobel Prize-level reasoning. If one guy falls out of an airplane but everyone else lands safely, I guess gravity took the day off for that one passenger. Food gets messed up. burp It happens. The real issue is that management seemed completely uninterested in addressing the concern. Instead of listening, apologizing, or investigating, they chose the classic strategy of pretending the problem couldn’t possibly exist. In an infinite multiverse, burp there are probably countless realities where this restaurant serves incredible food and values customer service. Unfortunately, this review is about this reality. One star. burp Actually, that’s being generous.

I took my girlfriend here after I was told the food was out of this world, what I received was a raw/undercooked rack of lamb and management didn’t seem to care much that the food was not prepared correctly and made me sick and not much was said except for oh well let us know if the doctors said it was us or not…very unprofessional for a place that I had such good expectations for. I will never support this business and will make sure my friends and family won’t either

Not our first time dining here but, maybe our last. The server was great and did his best to cover for the kitchens incompetence. The resturant was maybe @ 25% capacity, (being a Monday) and it took an hour and 20 minutes to recieve food. Our food was almost not edible! We asked to speak to the manager but, the manager never showed! So sad to find that a once good resturant has fallen to this level.
