Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Downtown

Would be nice to include breakfast but everything else was great! We had a bad experience down the street at the Marriott and this made up for it.

Dear Shannon Moore and Hilton Garden Inn Burlington Management, I am a 68-year-old guest currently staying at your property and I have a serious safety concern: the room is completely pitch black at night. There is no ambient light whatsoever — no nightlight, no illuminated switch, nothing. I need to get up twice a night to use the bathroom, which is completely normal for someone my age. Without any light source, navigating to the bathroom is genuinely dangerous. I asked the front desk staff if they could provide a nightlight and was told they don’t have any. I have stayed in many hotels and have never encountered a room with zero light at night. This is not a minor comfort issue — it is an accessibility and safety issue that disproportionately affects older guests. A fall in a pitch-dark hotel room is a real risk. I urge you to address this immediately by providing nightlights on request at minimum, or installing them as standard in every room.

The room was clean and comfy. Front desk young gentlemen were friendly, professional and easy on the eyes!

Metered street parking or valet only in a garage. No complimentary breakfast. Standard room. Just above a motel 6 in my opinion. I don't use the amenities like the pool or gym. Over priced water bottles. And the restaurant in the building has a limited menu.

Ideally located between UVM and Downtown Burlington, this is a great hotel. The staff is professional, knowledgeable, and helpful with guests needs. The rooms have been tastefully decorated. Our bathroom showed signs of wear, but we had no problems with it. Would recommend you stay here.

Great hotel and everything except for the hairs in the bathtub. Pool awesome but too busy, no free breakfast neither is there free parking.

The rooms were great, indoor pool is small but perfect for kids to burn off some steam. The location is great. Walkable to almost all Burlington hot spots. We had a tough experience with the breakfast as it took forever to get our food and then the orders were wrong. Not sure if it was an off day or what. We were not the only ones running into that problem.

Since the tv doesn’t work, leaves me with time for a review. We come to this hotel often. The plumbing often has issues (sink, toilet, shower). Much of that we’ve experienced on the second floor. Tonight however, we were on the 3rd floor and the tv isn’t working. We called the front desk 3 times over the course of an hour. We continued to be told someone would be up to check it out. I went to the front desk as it was nearing 10pm and no one had come to look. I was told they’d have someone check. I went back to our room only to find out no one came. So… no tv. They said they don’t have replacements, and they are fully booked (so moving rooms is not an option). Curious thing… did they not send someone to check on the tv bc they know it’s not working and continue to put people in the room? Frustrated with management not taking care of thing; that we were told over and over someone would look at it, and didn’t; that the hotel isn’t making any real effort to make this right for someone who stay here often.

I took my mother to Vermont for a bucket list trip for snow on a fun mother daughter trip. The stay was mediocre and the service was poor. It’s a shame because the location was wonderful. We stayed a week in two rooms. Eating at the hotel everyday and spending money at the little shop everyday as well. We checked out a day early at the front desk ant 3:30am on the way to the airport. When I look at my app the next morning for my receipt I find she never checked us out. We also had to cancel one room for one night due to an error in booking. Three weeks later and I’m still fighting for my money. Now Dean is asking me to send my personal bank statements via email to the manager Trevor supposedly to prove I ever paid for the rooms. Wow Sounds like someone is up to no good. The staff was a mixed bag. The morning waitress at the bar and grill was amazing, the cleaning staff was great but unfortunately I have nothing positive to remark for anything else. We travel a lot, all over the world and I use Hilton hotels a fair amount when not staying in local AirBnb’s. In all I would say you need to avoid this place. Such a shame. Great location though so you can always take your chances and your bank statements…
