After my experience, if I could give zero stars I would. This place looked really cute; however, after dinner and drinks (that I bought there), we went to enjoy the hot tub when a lady came up to us reeking of booze and clearly inebriated. The first thing out of her mouth was "Do you belong here!" Then she said, "You look like you are sneaking around." She proceeded to tell us she is the owner operator. We gave her our names and room number because she insisted on it. We, as paying customers, didn't even get so much as an apology. Anyone with any amount of money to spend towards Stowe, I recommend you go elsewhere. Not only will you be accused of "sneaking around" by the drunk owner, but you also will feel very unwanted and unwelcomed. I've lived in Vermont my whole life and have never been treated or talked to with such blatant disrespect by a local business. If you have money to spend in the Stowe area, I strongly suggest you spend it elsewhere. Oh, and she also accused us of underage drinking—mind you, I’m 27 and my friend is 23, and they booked our room, and her staff served us drinks. Real stand-up staff; they have down there, but the owner, however, is condescending, rude, entitled, and disrespectful. 10/10 would not recommend. After voicing our concerns, we were laughed out of the lobby by the owner and staff.
My girlfriend and I stayed at outbound stowe a few months ago, and it was magical. Perfect Vermont get away. Ben and Lindsay were extremely helpful and friendly at checkin. Providing all the details and comforts we needed. The cabins were cozy, inviting and warm; perfect for just the two of us and a romantic night away. Area was quiet and relaxing, with a beautiful snow field view. We'd definitely come back again.
Clean rooms with plenty of towels, plenty of space and comfort for what I wanted. Had a great stay!
Love the location. The beds were just alright
Outbound is, without question, the best hotel in Stowe. But calling it a hotel honestly undersells it. It is a destination. From the moment you arrive, the experience stands out. Lindsey at the front desk is incredible. Welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure your stay starts off right. She walks you through everything, from your room to the bar, pool, and hot tub, so you immediately feel at home. The rooms are stylish, updated, and extremely comfortable. Exactly what you want after a long day in Stowe. The bar is a highlight on its own. Great drinks, great food, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. We ended up there watching college basketball, and the staff could not have been better. A huge shoutout to Maggie, the General Manager, and Lindsey. They go above and beyond in a way that feels real. You can tell they prioritize their guests and take pride in what they are building. At this point, every time we come to Stowe, there is no question. We are staying at Outbound. It is an incredible property, run by people who truly care, and it creates an experience where you do not even need to leave, except to ski at Stowe Mountain just down the road.
This place is just absolutely wonderful! The rooms give you the feeling of being on a nostalgic road trip from the late 50s but in a GOOD way! All the updated amenities with all the cuteness and fun vibes. The staff is phenomenal (especially Ben, he is just absolutely incredible!)
Excellent place to stay. Close to all the attractions. Very clean rooms and friendly staff
