About this place Nietzsche's

Nietzsche's is a long-running Allentown live-music institution - not a gay bar, but a genuinely welcoming one that has become a home for some of Buffalo's best queer nights. It regularly hosts Sleaze Ball, the indie-sleaze drag-and-dance party from the DJ duo Business Woman Special, along with other LGBTQ+ pop-ups and Pride events. Come for the eclectic bookings and the easy, all-are-welcome vibe.

This bar used to be a ton of fun back in college but the area is becoming dangerous for women and being out late. We went there after another music venue let out and the staff (bartender and door boy) were rude, drinks were over priced, and bathrooms were disgusting.

Finally made it to Nitezsche’s on one of my Buffalo peregrinations to discover a Saturday Irish Ceili. This is one of those mythical Buffalo bars one must visit … more often.

The musical acts, bartenders, and clientele are always entertaining and welcoming. Was disappointed that they didn’t have Macallan 1926 scotch on hand, otherwise would have given six stars.
