About the event

What sparks a fashion designer's imagination? How do creative thinkers turn inspiration into bold, original designs? In this interactive workshop, participants will dive into the fundamentals of fashion illustration using croquis (pronounced kroh-kee), or quick sketches drawn on figure templates. A range of templates will be available, featuring diverse body types and gender expressions. Working in the galleries, participants will respond to the artwork around them through rapid sketching exercises, translating visual inspiration into wearable ideas. This dynamic approach encourages experimentation, creativity, and personal expression. No experience is required. Open to high school and college students through adults, this workshop includes a sketchbook for each participant to capture their ideas.
