Pearl Hour
Visitors praise Pearl Hour for its relaxing, intimate, and cool atmosphere, beautiful decor, and well-made, creative cocktails, with some highlighting the fun live music and good non-alcoholic options. However, a common complaint is that the bar can become uncomfortably crowded, especially on busy nights, with one reviewer noting insufficient staffing for a holiday weekend.

Heads up- there is a $10 cover to enter this bar This is such a fun spot to grab a nightcap. The whole vibe is so relaxing and conversational. The live music was super fun as well. Definately a must stop for anyone on a romatic weekend.
Pearl Hour is an absolute gem in Monterey. Pearl Hour manages to feel effortlessly cool, intimate, and welcoming all at once. The atmosphere is beautiful with moody lighting, thoughtful design, and the kind of energy that makes you want to stay for “just one more” cocktail. Every drink was incredibly balanced and creative without being overcomplicated. You can tell there’s real skill behind the bar. The staff was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do, which elevated the entire experience. This is the kind of place that would feel perfectly at home in San Francisco, New York, or LA, yet still feels uniquely Monterey. Stylish without trying too hard, refined without being pretentious. Easily one of the best cocktail experiences we’ve had in a long time.
Best cocktails in town... and I have tried dozens of other places. I also love that the menu changes. They do not have food, but they allow people to bring in if you sit out on the patio.
I love the idea of seasonal drinks! Love the cocktails and the decor inside. Felt very welcoming. We went two days in a row while on our short trip in Monterey so no regrets :)
Well-made cocktails. Place is small but cute. Easily crowded but has great ambience.
