Carmel Fireplace Inn

I’ve been staying there off and on over the past 20 years. Every time I stay there has been a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend staying there!

We are repeat lodgers as a family of three. The actual room fireplace is a comfort.

Top location ♥️ Top staff ♥️ Parking included. The hotel was very clean and the room was great. The fireplace was incredibly beautiful. The silence of the hotel, its beautiful flowers and plants made for a relaxing experience. We will be back soon.

Walking distance to everything. Super quaint with character. Rooms are older but comfortable. The shower had very little pressure would be my only complaint

Nice and cozy place

Old room not updated like ones in photo. Small shower and cable service bad. After hrs check in difficult b/c they sent text from unknown number. Limited parking. We stayed here before and it was fine. We moved out 2 days earlier and at least they didn't charge us. Be sure you know what are getting.

We always come up to the sports car races in May. We found this place a few years ago. It’s such a warm welcoming place. It’s quaint architecture, and its short walking distance to town and restaurants makes it an ideal place to stay. We’ve stayed at many places in Carmel over the years, but the Carmel Fireplace Inn has now become our go to place when we’re in the area.

Stayed here for one night with my dog and it was awesome. I came on a weeknight at the end of April and found that parking spots were available (around 8-9 in the lot, though they are pretty narrow) and ample street parking close by. On the phone, the receptionist let me know all rooms were dog-friendly, so I booked directly on their website and paid an additional $50 pet fee once I arrived for check in. At check in, they gave us an extra bed sheet in case our pup wanted to be on furniture, and a small goodie bag with dog treats, which he absolutely loved. The location was a short walk to the main shops and restaurants, tucked away in a quieter corner. Found more traffic in the area during the local farmer's market (about 2 blocks away and does not allow dogs). Overall happy with my stay, did not have any issues with temperature as it was not too warm and we were not needing AC (which is not available here).

Overall, a very nice hotel near the center of Carmel. Room was very cute and clean. Only issue and why i didn't give it a 5 star review is the limited parking around the location.

I loved this place. Cute (dated) rooms with hacienda style doors. A fireplace, a fridge, everything you need. I don’t know so may people are unhappy with this place. Jerry was nice at the front desk. They had water available for us. The location is superb. The walls and ceilings are old so you can hear neighbors but it’s not that bad.

Great location within a few minutes walk of everything. Parking was easy. Rooms adequate but bathroom could do with updating. We loved Carmel and enjoyed the local eateries, wine tasting, great beach and exploring the local area. Would definitely come back.

We had a great time staying here, as usual. Inge was friendly and helpful as always.

Construction going next door, noise started as early as 6:30 AM, out room was the closest immediately above the cross street from where large dump trucks were backing, no notification or heads up were given at check in or while booking , therefore our stay was horrible to be awaken by so much noise.
