We had a memorable experience here. The hot tub was quite good and the view is serene, although it doesn't look upon the ocean. It's pretty isolated which is both good and bad depending on what you want.
Lovely inn with an amazing view. So authentic and peaceful. In a little town and with a magnificent beach. Even seals and otters make an appearance along with birds and surfers. Ate a great reuben at Phil's snack shack
Best place to pick for a short stay. Friendly, cozy and relaxing environment. Will definitely return if we are ever back in the area again.
My husband booked a little weekend getaway for us here. Perfect place to stay if you're here for whale watching. Value for the rooms seem great as well. I was surprised by how peaceful and quiet our whole stay was. Loved the common room downstairs, way easier than having a fridge and microwave in the room, which can get stinky. My husband booked the admiral's wife room because I love to take baths. I was skeptical at first that it wouldn't have enough hot water to fill up the tub but it was perfect. Had a lovely view outside from the tub as well. The room had a lot of charm and was super cozy. Slept great, bed was comfy, can't beat sleeping with the sea breeze coming in through the windows. The whole property has unique decor inside and out. Excellent place to unwind and disconnect. Perfect for couples. It's in a great location as well, didn't need to move the car all weekend as we walked everywhere. Would absolutely stay here again!
The Captain's Inn is such a special place to us. This is our second visit and we have decided we will be needing to come back yearly! They have secured us as lifetime customers. The themed rooms are so cute and the views are incredible. There is nothing more peaceful than waking up to all the birds calling. I love opening my eyes and looking out into the wetlands through the large windows first thing in the morning. We saw a turkey right outside in the wildflowers. So grateful we found the Captain's Inn at Moss Landing and can't wait to be back!!
Quaint inn in Moss Landing. We stayed in the Admirals Wife room in the historic blue building on the property. The room was fine for one night, with a queen size bed and a bathroom with an old school clawfoot bathtub. Entering the bathtub may present challenges so be aware. The room itself was small but a common area for all guests was available. Location is pretty crummy as there's next to zero points of interest in the immediate surroundings of the inn other than beach access. CA-1 is not far from the inn and traffic was audible during the day. We did not physically interact with any staff, check-in and all communication was arranged by email and text. There's maybe 10 parking spots available on the property, plus there's a lot of free street parking. Overall it was ok to stay there but would have hoped for some more lively surroundings.
