This is THEE best Motel 6 on the west coast. I travel up and down the coast for work with my cat and we regularly stay at Motel 6. I've stayed at countless Motel 6s from Seattle to San Diego. Checking in was a breeze, getting the room I wanted was so simple, normally I feel like I have to over explain why I want a bottom floor room, or they always look annoyed for some reason. I love my room I wish I could live in it. The furniture is still new, the bed was so comfortable I could cry. I had the best nights sleep that I've had in 2 years. There's a side of the hotel that is in the back and it's so quiet (aside from inconsiderate people talking at full volume while they smoke at 2am lol but that's not the hotels fault). The front is facing the freeway so it's a bit louder. Usually you can hear the person above you and it sounds like they're moving furniture... I barely heard a thing! It's next door to a Denny’s, and walking distance from Wal Mart, and the beach! There's also privacy! They have walls and bushes in front of the rooms and I've never seen that before at a Motel 6. They also still have bathtubs!!!! a lot of the hotels on the West Coast are pulling out the bathtubs and replacing them with these locker room style showers but I personally love taking baths as I have been traveling so much. So it always breaks my heart a little bit when I check into a hotel and it only has a shower. So to my surprise there's a decent size bath and the water is so hot and consistent!

Cat on premises is awesome. Location is the best. My default stay in the area.

Traveled to the area for a dog agility trial nearby. This motel was recommended by others.

Classic Motel 6, clean, very quiet neighborhood! Denny's nearby! I recommend it.

It's a Motel 6. It's clean, well lit, and staffed. No complaints other than it wasn't clear to me that it wasn't in the city of Monterey. I should have checked a map rather than trusted the name on the website...
