Noisy construction started at 6:30 AM. Outside river front patio closed and under construction. Was not told of this in advance. Bartender...had better at motel 6. Bottom line over priced Won't stay here again.

We were woken up by construction on our floor no one told us about. Drilling at 6AM and it was nearly impossible to reach the front decks. No one let us know during booking that the entire river bar was complete destroyed for construction as well.

My family traveled in from out of state to attend our first Cubs game and booked our stay a few months ago. We have been planning this for months and were so excited to head to the hotel after the game. We received an email during the game saying that they were overbooked and that they called us to tell us to confirm we were coming. We didn’t see a call come in at all and no voicemail was left. By the time we called they had given our room away to someone else even after we had reservations set months in advance and did not have any helpful information. They basically did not care. My mother in law also had a room booked and they did the same thing to her. There were multiple events that night and they gave our rooms to other people. I will never book through them again. We had to scramble with three little kids and my mother in law to find a place. As you could imagine this was so stressful and could have been avoided. If I could give zero stars I would.

I’ve been a loyal Marriott Rewards member for quite some time, so I’m very familiar with the brand’s usual level of service and professionalism. The hotel itself is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and located in a great area. While the property is a bit dated, it’s still very comfortable and well maintained.
