Willows Hotel

We had the room right next to elevator, and the noise level was not bad. We were worried because some of the bad reviews about elevator noise- but it didn’t bother us. Bring earplugs or headphones if you are sensitive. Staff is very sweet! Room was clean, it’s just an older place so common wear and tear is normal. Mini bar had great prices, free cookies in the afternoon in the lobby! And oat milk option for the drip coffee station. Would stay again, especially for the price point to be in this nicer neighborhood. Bus routes into the city are super easy to navigate from hotel!

Wonderful front desk service. Excellent quiet location. I enjoyed places that were within walking distance. Easy to use TV and remote control (Big PLUS). Cozy rooms with an in-room snack and drink bar. The only think I didn't like are the plug outlets; wall and on lamps. They were all loose and it was frustrating when trying to charge my electronics. They should be replaced more often. I would definitely stay here again and hope to return next year.

The room I stayed in was accommodating with mini fridge, hair dryer, soap, shampoo, and robes. The staff is pleasant and professional. Beautiful location close to the downtown Chicago area. The price is on the higher end, but you’re paying for the location. Be prepared to pay for parking in the Broadway Surf garage as after staying for one night I ended up paying about $50 in parking garage fees.

I found this hotel when trying to find a place in Lincoln park area just two days before arrival. For the price I paid ($425/night), it was not worth it. Maybe worth it in the posted prices of $175/night. Positives: location, cleanliness, comfortable bed, room spaciousness, and the one young gentleman at reception who was welcoming and helpful. Negatives: Shabby - dirty wall paper, broken window, limited complimentary coffee/tea in lobby, ancient carpeting and ceiling fan, limited shower water pressure, could hear everything from neighboring rooms and above me, long dark hallways.

I stayed here because it is the cheapest/nicest hotel in proximity to the Aargon Ballroom. It was a lovely stay. No breakfast but they serve fresh baked chocolate chip cookies throughout the day and there is coffee 24/7 with good creamer in the fridge; during my stay it was lavender oatmilk creamer. There are many breakfast spots within walking distance. I loved this little spot in the city. I'll definitely be back!

Great location for Walking to visit family. If family lives close by they offer a discount when calling hotel directly. Clean with very comfortable beds. Will be back again

Even though I had stayed there twice, the young man at the front desk who answered the phone refused to exclude the rooms next to the noisy elevator before I make a reservation. He was very stubborn, so I made the decision not to stay at that hotel again.

The room was clean but very old.

I don’t have many requirements to be satisfied with a hotel stay, but the least I expect is a solid night of sleep. This hotel has thin walls and you can hear every step taken in the room above yours. The creaking floors kept us awake throughout the night. Overall just too noisy and loud so we weren’t able to rest after a long day walking around the city. They need to add padded carpet, or something, to improve the noise issues. The location is good but that’s it unfortunately. I wouldn’t stay here again.
