About this place Have A Gay Day

Have A Gay Day is a Dayton-based LGBTQ+ nonprofit foundation on Needmore Road in the north of the city. More than a storefront, it runs a Sunday food, personal-care and pet-supply pantry, provides emergency assistance to community members in need, and is known nationally for its transgender-support billboard campaign. Founded and run by local volunteers, it has grown into one of the Miami Valley's most visible grassroots queer organizations, pairing practical help with advocacy.

I visited have a gay day after an old friend mentioned that they help ppl in need with their laundry & give away food as well personal products. I looked them up & found that they had appointments to do laundry so i signed up. I was able to wash everything i needed to during the 2 hr window & they offered me water & snacks while i waited. I really appreciate organizations like this who help those in need because just that little bit of help, that moment of normalcy to be able to just do my laundry & stop worrying about not having anything presentable to wear really helps while I'm attempting to recover from homelessness.

Great ppl helping out. The line can be a little crazy. But I can't really complain. They're helping us out.

The volunteers are wonderful people. The leader of the group has covert ego needs. He dehumanizes others on social media to elevate his own image. Beware.
