Good food and vibes

I have been here a few times over the years since they opened and always had a great experience. The food, drinks and (especially) the service were top-notch. I recently returned in Feb 2026 for a birthday dinner. I was pleasantly surprised that the vibe was still fresh and the food/drinks/service were still just as good as I remembered from past visits. That is a rare feat in the restaurant world!!! Keep up the great work W&C.

Wines are well-chosen & priced reasonably. The whole menu was a surprise for being affordable. We did not feel "small plates" were all that small - sharing 3 dishes between the two of us was perfect.

I’ve been here numerous times over the years and always have been impressed. I wanted to try the new spring menu this time around and bring my friend since he’s never been. All in all the food was really good! I felt the coconut schmaltz should have been pliable - it was hard. Coq au vin was great and the chicken tasted the most like chicken I’ve ever had. But where it fell short - and the main cause of the 3 stars - was my friends steak frites main came out a solid 15 minutes after my main. I finished my chicken, and my plate cleared, by the time his came out. The server came by to notify us of the progress, (after I had got my chicken) but this felt more like pacifying, though still professional. Someone dropped the ball. Either he forgot to send in the ticket (he also forgot my friends Caesar salad, nbd on that tho) or the cook forgot to make it, or they made my chicken too early and sent it out. It was super slow in there at 7pm on a Thursday night - 2? Servers and them sharing duties as a bartender. Of course I’ll come again whenever the mood strikes, but timing like that should never happen in a restaurant of this caliber. Our Server’s service was friendly and helpful otherwise.

The food is delicious. But, even for Downtown Detroit, some of the portions are laughable for the cost. The "large" charcuterie board is like $50 and could easily be eaten by one person. We asked for additional bread for it and were given a single piece of toast cut into three pieces. The entrees are better for the most part. But still hilariously small when they're described as meant for sharing. Pretty tasty though.

Every dish was so delicious down to the textures, flavors, and presentation. They wrote me a birthday card and gave us a birthday desert on the house!

Fantastic cocktail program with delicious food to go with. Atmosphere is very chic but the service is warm, friendly, and efficient. Incredibly impressive restaurant in the heart of downtown Detroit. Also a fun surprise when taking guests to the "secret" second floor.... Highly recommend.
