We stayed here since we were in town for a concert. I booked the room through a third-party website and our poor experience began as soon as I checked in. The hotel was fully booked, and the front desk informed me that because I booked through a third-party, they had actually downgraded my room for FOUR PEOPLE from two beds with a city view to a single king bed facing a brick wall of windows. When we got room service after the concert, an item was missing - despite promises from the front desk and manager that we'd get a refund, we never did. After we left, the manager also said that the third-party downgrade was not part of their policy; once again, despite his promise to refund a portion of my payment, nothing was refunded until I complained multiple times with the third-party vendor. Considering the price and reputation of this hotel, I was appalled by how terrible their customer service is and would never recommend it to anyone! Their managers are dishonest and incompetent.
Great hotel in downtown Detroit. My room was spacious, the atmosphere of the hotel is amazing

This was our first visit to Detroit, and the location of the hotel was conveniently located across the street from where the DAX airport shuttle stops and within easy walking distance of everything we wanted to see in downtown Detroit. We arrived around 4:30pm and found a fairly long line at check-in, but the four ladies working the front desk kept things moving efficiently and got everyone checked in quickly. As part of the check-in process, we were given the option to forgo housekeeping in exchange for a $20 credit that could be used at the hotel's restaurants or bar, which we took advantage of Our room was on the 21st floor but it had only a single small window with no view. The room itself was comfortable and clean, though the decor was a bit sterile and lacking in character. The shower was excellent, with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and the convenience of the location made it a great base for exploring Detroit.
