OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival
About This Event
OUTSOUTH is the queer film festival of the Carolina Theatre of Durham. It began in 1995 as "A Salute to Pride" and ran as the North Carolina Gay and Lesbian Film Festival from 1996 to 2019. The theatre calls it the second-largest LGBTQ+ film festival in the Southeast.
The programme mixes features, documentaries and shorts blocks over four days, all screened in the theatre's auditoriums in downtown Durham. Single tickets were $15 in 2026, with a 5-film pass at $60.
The 31st edition ran 13 to 16 August 2026. The 2027 dates have not been announced yet. The festival has been held in August in recent years.
