Red Roof Inn Stroudsburg

To check in, you video chat with someone several states away. There is no one on the premises to deal with a problem should one occur. When we booked the hotel, it clearly stated that there was a free breakfast. When we checked in, the woman on the video chat even told us the hours that breakfast was available. The next morning we were looking for the breakfast but could not find it. We asked the man on video chat (in another state) and he said there was no breakfast. The place is quite run down but the bed was comfortable. For a couple staying the night, one little packet of shampoo is insufficient, however, since there is no one there to ask, we couldn't get more. The room was sort of clean and there was food in the fridge from the previous tenant. Location is ok...it is a little tucked in but close to downtown Stroudsburg. Not likely to return.

They did not refund my security deposit and it is impossible to get anyone on the phone about it. Would not recommend as customer service for this place is not good. Update. Contacted guest relations. Was informed that they could not contact the property so they would give me the 50$ refund but I would need to open a PayPal or zelle account in my son in laws name because the booking was under his name even tho I paid for a night and the security deposit. That is fraud. Absolutely disgusted with the establishment. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The tub was gross, ring around the tub and behind the toilet and floor was gross. The sheets were clean atleast and the ac was cold, it did have a funk to it but probably cause its old. To get upstairs there's no elevator so if you have bags be aware. The rooms do have a fridge and microwave though. It made do in a pinch.

Easy walk to Downtown Stroudsburg. Nice clean rooms.

This was the first time I had to ask for a refund from a hotel. The lobby was very run down (paint chipping, old dirty couches, etc). The outside was just as dingy and uninviting. The room itself looked nicer than the lobby until you turned the light on. Both beds had noticeable stains on the covers and bugs on the bed. The front desk staff was the most pleasant part of the experience she was kind, helpful and understanding.
