Inn at the River

What a delightful stay. Everything was perfect. The Inn was located in a beautiful setting. Peaceful surroundings and the calming flow of the river. The room we stayed in was tastefully decorated with Northwoods decor. A quiet night and a great nights sleep. Dan and Margaret Higginbotham were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was extraordinary and served in room/deck with a great view. We enjoyed conversation with the other guest. A great value It was heaven

Staying at Margaret and Dan’s B&B is like returning home without the family theatrics. Have stayed there at least 4 times and definitely plan to return.

Greatly enjoyed my stay in the Birch room!

Dan and Margaret are amazing hosts! The room exceeded our expectations. The Inn is the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at. The place is beautiful, right on the river. We enjoyed kayaking and just taking in the many sights both indoor and outdoor. The highlight is the breakfasts that Dan and Margaret prepare. We are definitely going back. If you want an exceptional, relaxing experience-this is your place.

Margaret and Dan have created a haven on the Eau Claire River. We saw sandhill cranes and deer across the river, enjoyed an evening fire in the pit by the river and were comfortable in the cozy family area between the Willow and Birch rooms. Their home is a very well appointed labor of love, they are warm and welcoming and excellent cooks. Theo, their pup, is waiting for you at the front door when you return home. The super clean rooms are spacious, have fireplaces and private baths. We stayed 4 nights. This was our 2nd visit.

This was our second time 2 stay @The Inn. The setting is amazing, room & living space super comfy & the breakfasts provided whenever we were ready was delicious each morning.

Simply OUTSTANDING !!! This is our 2nd stay and we will stay whenever we visit Wisconsin. Spacious rooms and sitting areas. Immersed in nature, on the river - it's idyllic! Outdoor patio and a great fire pit.The breakfast Dan and Margaret prepare is unique and scrumptious! They have thought of everything. You'll be glad you found this jewel !!!
