We truly enjoy our stays at the Stewart Inn. We have gone once a year for the past 3 years and each time we are greeted by Buster Brown, the sweetest dog, and welcomed by Randy. Randy is a very generous and accommodating host. The Inn is beautiful and full of detailed craftsmanship. It is extremely well maintained and has a wonderful atmosphere. The breakfasts are also a highlight. We look forward to the yogurt and surprise toppings each stay. Our stays are something we look forward to.

Randy warned me that I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else after I spent a night at the Stewart Inn and he was right! I come to Wausau quarterly for work and it can be really stressful but staying at the Stewart Inn made things a lot better. From the moment you arrive you are welcomed by the owners and they give you a tour of this beautiful prairie style bed & breakfast. The rooms all have a unique style to them. I stayed in the room with a private balcony and bear claw tub and it really was amazing. It is pretty quiet at night there and all the guests usually are traveling through and are really respectful and curious why you are there. Your stay also includes a gourmet style 3 course breakfast each morning which really holds you over till dinner. Unfortunately I could only experience the full breakfast once because of my demanding work schedule but they made me breakfast to go on the mornings I couldn’t join which I thought was super thoughtful. I’d recommend anyone to stay here and I’ll be seeing you again Randy!! Thank you for everything.

The Stewart Inn is a home away from Home. I travel to Wausau for business several times a year. The Stewart Inn is quite possibly the most quaint and Homie experience You could possibly have away from your own abode. Randy, the Inn keeper Is not only a delightful human, but he is full of history about the Inn, great food recommendations within walking distance and his own unique talent preparing and serving breakfast that you’ll talk about for days… And don’t forget to ask him for an extra dose of unnecessary cream with your blueberries. An experience at the Stewart Inn makes coming back home feel like you already miss The Stewart Inn, your home away from home.

This 1906 House designed by George Washington Maher (a Wright contemporary) is simply beautiful and it is obviously being kept that way by the owners. They are definitely not just etracting money while letting the property go. Host was extremely helpful, friendly and courteous. Shower was equipped with a steam feature, a new experience for me. Bed and pillows were very comfortable, and different pillows were very available if you found them lacking. Excellent restaurant and cafe's within walking distance. On premise parking was very nice. Meet and greet at 5 PM with a complementary glass of wine allowed me to meet some really interesting guests with fantastic stories of their lives and travels. Criticism? Not much. Some people may be expecting very cold A/C in room, but it is limited in its cooling ability. Make sure you walk around the living room and adjoining rooms to see the wonderful features of this house.

This inn is gorgeous with attention to detail friendly and considerate owners Randy and Sara who make a great 3 course breakfast every morning along with an evening wine reception. Owner also goves hreat restaurant recommendations. Buster the house dog is a sweetheart who doesn't make a sound. This will be our go to when in the area going forward, definitely stands out from the rest.
