About this place The Tool Box

The Tool Box is a gay bar in the heart of El Paso's downtown Pride Square, on the 500 block of North Stanton Street. Occupying the ground floor of the same building as CockTales upstairs, it has been a fixture of the local scene since the early 2010s and is one of the most recognizable names on the strip. It's a casual, easygoing neighborhood bar rather than a large club, a place to grab a drink, meet locals, and settle in before or after the bigger dance floors nearby. Its central Stanton Street location puts it within a few steps of EPIC, Briar Patch, 8½ and the rest of the Pride Square cluster, making it an easy first stop on a night out downtown. Hours can shift, especially around weekends and events, so it's smart to check ahead.

The male “owner” is allowed to just walk into the women’s restroom while customers who had already bought drinks were peeing he was drunk claiming it’s not a public restroom after we had already bought shouts from the bar.
