Pines Party
About This Event
The Pines Party is Fire Island Pines' midsummer fundraiser weekend, started in 1999 by a group of Pines residents. It benefits the Pines Foundation, the Stonewall Community Foundation and the Seashore Defense Fund. Organisers say it has raised more than $4.8 million since it began.
Every year has a theme, and costumes are expected. The main event is the Saturday night dance party on the beach, from 10pm to 6am, which draws thousands. The other events are a Friday VIP reception at Whyte Hall, a Saturday afternoon pool party, a Sunday morning party at the Pavilion and Tryst, and a Sunday closing party. Tickets are sold in tiers through TicketFairy, prices go up as each tier sells out, and the weekend is 21+.
To get there, take the LIRR to Sayville and then the Sayville Ferry, which takes about 25 minutes. There are no cars on the island, and extra late-night ferries run that weekend. Book housing early.
The 2026 edition ran from 31 July to 2 August with a mythology theme of gods, tricksters and heroes, and the beach party was called Altar Ego. The 2027 Pines Party is set for 30 July to 1 August, according to pinesparty.com.
