am extremely unhappy and disappointed with Crocker Bar and the way my situation was handled. Last Saturday, I was assaulted by someone at the establishment. I reached out to management afterward because I needed information and security camera footage that could potentially help me provide evidence to law enforcement and protect myself through legal measures, including a restraining order. I was told that the cameras were down and that there was no footage available. That is extremely concerning. A business that operates as a nightclub or bar has a responsibility to take reasonable safety measures to protect its customers. What happens if someone is assaulted, drugged, sexually assaulted, or even if something much more serious occurs inside the establishment? If the security cameras are not functioning, what evidence can management provide to law enforcement or to the customers who are harmed? This is not simply about my personal experience anymore. It raises serious questions about the safety and security practices of the establishment. Management, ownership, and staff need to take accountability for ensuring that customers are protected and that security systems are operational. Customers should not have to leave an establishment wondering whether there will be any evidence available if something happens to them. I sincerely hope Crocker Bar takes this situation seriously, addresses its security measures, and makes sure other customers do not experience what I experienced. Customer safety should never be optional.
