Some visitors found the staff to be friendly and helpful, with specific praise for the head housekeeper keeping rooms clean. However, a significant number of guests reported extremely poor customer service, including issues with reservations, overbooking, and rude or absent staff, leading to a generally negative experience.

I made a reservation early in the morning and arrived at 11:00 PM after a long day of travel, expecting to check into the room I had reserved. To my surprise, I found a sign on the office door stating that there were no rooms available and that I would need to find another hotel, as they could do nothing about it. This was extremely irresponsible and reflects very poor reservation management. A very disappointing experience.

This was my first time staying at a Studio 6. I tried calling the place to notified I was going to arrive after 9pm, although there was no verification to prove who I was, I was told “ok”. Upon arrival I was asked if I needed two beds. I booked the place about a week in advance. The front desk had to verify that the room was available. Mind you I booked it for 3 people but only two of us traveled. There seems to be an issue around this area in Huntsville where rooms are given away, if you arrive late, you may not have a room. No smoking signs are optional, as I found people smoking in all areas, there is a strong smell of “skunk” around the stairs and hallways. I am not sure anyone sweeps or cleans around, the ceiling by elevator has a huge gap and the ceiling is unfinished. There is a “cleaning fee” that is not listed on Travelocity. They notified you upon arrival. I don’t mind paying but at least try to have the rooms clean, I am not talking about being old, just clean. I did notified the front desk and showed the young lady the pictures.

An Absolute Nightmare: Avoid at All Costs I have been traveling the world for 20 years, and this is, without a doubt, the single worst place I have ever stayed. The Service: Lazy, Hostile, and Absent The staff here don’t just dislike their jobs—they openly despise them, their bosses, and the guests. They are perpetually angry, completely useless, and refuse to provide solutions to basic problems. To make matters worse, they just abandon their posts. One night at 10 PM, the front desk was entirely deserted. Paying guests were arriving well before the official check-in deadline closed, and there was absolutely no one there to help them. The Room: A Dirty, Broken Time Capsule The accommodations are ancient and falling apart. The Lights: Don't work. The Bathroom: Filthy. The Fridge: Disgusting, caked in grime inside and out. The Keys: A total joke. The keycards demagnetize every three hours, forcing you to trudge back to the front desk constantly just to access your own room.

Very bad customer service. Made a reservation online, and after the office check-in, went to our room and when we unlocked and opened the door, there was a couple occupy the room as we woke them up. Went back to the office, admittedly frustrated, and told the clerk what had happened. Explained that this is the kind of stuff that gets people shot and the person in that room would’ve had every right as I was the one opening and entering a locked area that they were occupying. The young woman behind the counter did not comprehend the severity of this mistake and claimed I was disrespecting her. Would not offer me another room, which I did not ask for and told me to leave. I told her I wanted a refund which she said was going back on my card but supposedly could not give me any conformation or a receipt. Looking back on my Credit Card statement a few weeks later the charge was credited, but then immediately another charge for the same amount was listed. This is beyond reasonable, and not a way to treat your customers.

They charge you an extra $10 a day once you leave the hotel. It's in the fine print apparently of course I haven't seen it.
