This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. Prior to my arrival, I spoke on the phone with Tasha. She was so warm and hospitable. She answered my questions, made great suggestions, and made us feel so welcome. This was especially true when I was able to meet her the morning after our arrival. I will admit that upon arrival things were a little shaky as the valets were very helpful but said the hotel does not have bell persons. The valets did grab our luggage and place on these terrible carts provided by the hotel. But, since our room wasn't ready at 3:15pm (check in is 4pm), we just sat in the lobby with our luggage on the carts. One of the valets said to come get him when our room was ready. After about 1.5 hours Josie came up to tell us our room was now ready. However, the valet had gotten off work at 4:30pm and no one was really able to help. (We also had trouble upon our departure as I couldn't find anyone to help with luggage again.) Our suite was lovely with an amazing view overlooking Big Spring Park from our living space and the Von Braun Center from our bathroom. The bed was amazing. The bathroom was so nice. We did have a little issue with water pressure and lukewarm temp in the vanity. I wish the toilet was in a separate room and that the mirrors had TVs in them. There was no goody bar or snacks in the room. Each floor had awesome refreshment centers for water, ice, and hot tea. The door to our room would get stuck when opening and closing, so it made a loud noise. Harvest Moon restaurant was so wonderful. We had breakfast. And had it brought to the room thanks to Kendrick who came up, took our order, and then delivered it when ready. That's room service even though I don't think they really have room service per se. The food was "off the chain" if folks even still say that. So yummy! I wish we could have eaten dinner there or even a snack at Vesper Sky Lounge. But we had other plans. I did enjoy a cocktail at Vesper and loved the atmosphere, scene, and scenery. The piano player in the lobby on Friday night was incredible. Such a smooth vibe. The public spaces and decor were amazing. I was able to check out the largest Starbucks in Alabama just off the lobby. A nice spot. The gym was nice. I only wish the Trilogy had a pool.

Lovely hotel, however, the incredibly loud bathroom fans don’t turn off, and the bathroom doors are the fancy, hanging ones that leave an inch gap around the entire door, doing nothing to lesson the constant noise. The staff has assured me that there are, in fact, no quiet rooms in the hotel. The rooms are otherwise very nice, I appreciate the tea station by the elevators, the gym is great, as is the location. Breakfast was slow but decent. However, my primary goal in a hotel is to be able to sleep and relax, and the fan is so loud I can’t hear myself think; it was the first thing I noticed this morning, before I even got out of bed. I cannot recommend this hotel.
