Great place - very nice and hospitable staff, clean, close to the beach, strong drinks and cute rooms :)
I am giving Hotel Jacquin one star. I originally wrote a review after my stay five years ago, but since I can no longer find it, I wanted to share my experience again. Upon arrival, I was assigned a handicap-accessible room. While I understand the need for accessible accommodations, I had not requested one and was disappointed to find a handicap shower and a room with no windows. My first impression was not positive, but because I would have been charged for the first night’s stay if I left, I decided to give the hotel a chance. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve. The room felt dark and uninviting, and it was not what I expected for a birthday getaway. What makes this review significant is that five years have passed, and I still regret spending my 2021 birthday there. A hotel stay should create positive memories, especially for a special occasion, but this experience left me feeling disappointed long after the trip was over. Based on my experience, I would not return and cannot recommend this property.
Emailed me that they do not allow children below 13. Waste of time. Should be stated on their website and other booking sites. I booked with the option to add number of children/ infants. I requested for the option to cancel, it’s been almost a week and I still haven’t gotten a response. Just save time and book directly with casa loma or casa Laguna.
Had an unbelievable stay here! The property was quiet, quaint, and well decorated - each room even featured a turntable with a small record collection (including CCR - they must have known I was coming). Steps away from Shaw Cove and right off PCH with easy access to Newport Coast. I will definitely be returning.
We had the most wonderful time. Patrick made us feel welcome and right at home! What a beautiful boutique hotel.
Absolutely wonderful experience. Professional and classy.
