About this place The Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian, an all-suite casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, aims for a specific Italian fantasy: opulent, sprawling, and with more than a little kitsch. It’s 1.5 miles from the Las Vegas Convention Center, so if you’re here for work, you won’t have to fight too much traffic.

Every room here is a suite. You’ll get a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, and Egyptian cotton sheets. If you want more space—and more luxury—some suites come with separate living and dining rooms, marble bathrooms, fireplaces, and whirlpool tubs. Those also get you into the club lounge, which is a nice perk if you plan to spend time at the hotel.

You probably will, because there’s a lot going on. The Venetian has around 20 restaurants and bars, a few run by celebrity chefs, so you won’t run out of places to eat or drink. There’s a full casino, of course, and plenty of retail shops. But the real draw for some is the artificial canals, where you can take a gondola ride, just like in Venice itself. For LGBTQ+ travelers, it’s a solid, upscale option on the Strip, with all the amenities you’d expect from a big Las Vegas resort, whether you’re in town for fun or a convention.

Stayed last weekend. Second time staying here, first was venitian then palazzo this time arouns. Rooms and dining experiences were good but had a few issues with other services. Went to play blackjack, found a table with $15 minimum bets. My brother and myself sat down and put our money on the table, then 4 other joined in. After we start getting our chips the pit boss comes over and changes minimum bets to $25 while we are in the process of getting our chips paid out to play. After blackjack we left to go see the david spade show at the venitian theater. Tickets were over $700 for nosebleeds and 1/3 of the cost were hidden fees at checkout. Show was absolutely terrible and not worth even half of what we paid. We got back to our and decided to order room service. This was around 10:50-11pm. Our food we ordered didn't even arrive until almost 1am! One hour and 40-50 minutes for two meals. With no communication as to the delay or anything! *you're pit boss saw an entire table worth of people sit down and ran over and increased the minimum price per bet by 66% *you hide almost 30% of a ticket price in hidden fees that are only shown at checkout for a terrible show with no ptions of a refund. *we got charged full price for room service that took over twice the estimated time and arrived at such a late hour of the night to where we didn't even want to eat the food (1 am) that it's just insulting that the staff didn't see an issue with the amount of time or the time of night by the time they dropped the food off. You advertise and promote a luxurious experience and top shelf amenities at your resort and yet everything we experienced was being milked for every penny you can could througg deceptive practices with no obligation to actually delivery upon a positive experience once you got our money. Why should anyone stay at your resort?
