Twist, a gay club on Washington Avenue, has been a South Beach fixture for more than two decades.
Twist is on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach, a street with plenty of places to drink. It's been there for over 20 years, a gay club that pulls in both locals and tourists.
You’ll find live DJs here, plus dancers and drag queens. The energy is high, especially later in the night. This part of South Beach is the center of Miami Beach's gay scene, with dance clubs, bars, and lounges packed with LGBTQ+ travelers, particularly in winter and during Pride.
The club keeps things fresh, but it’s still a reliable spot for a night out. Expect loud music, performances, and a good mix of regulars and new faces. Bartenders are friendly, and the crowd is always ready to socialize. If you want to dance, catch a show, or just have a few drinks in a lively setting, Twist is a solid bet.

Twist was an amazing place to take my friend for her birthday and get a table. The manager Jansen and our server Bryan were both wonderful! They made our night feel very special and were very accommodating! Would totally come back again! AMAZING Music!
Twist was so much fun and just the type of atmosphere needed to dance the night away. With several rooms mixing different genres there was something for everyone. It was a safe space for the LGBT! Special shout out to the amazing bartenders and especially Mario. As a bartender myself I can say he is top notch. Great drinks, eyes everywhere and the best enthusiasm! An iconic bartender if I ever saw one :) thx for a great weekend!
I have been a loyal customer for years and have always tipped well, which is why this experience was disappointing. On June 14 before 11 PM, I was charged an additional $4 for a mojito at the indoor bar on the first floor (next to the open space where people smoke). The receipt simply listed an “upcharge,” but the bartender could not explain what the charge was for when I asked. We then asked another employee to speak with a manager. He said he would look for one, but nobody ever came to address the issue. The extra $4 is not what bothered me most. I’ve always tipped more. What concerned me was the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to explain the charge or resolve the situation. My advice is simple: always review your receipt before paying and be cautious about leaving an open tab. Not all bartenders are like this, but this was my experience on the night of June 14 at the first-floor indoor bar.
Very run down establishment, needs some TLC, remodeling, and investment. This is Miami, come on do better.
Why so many girls and straight people ?
My heart gets happier every time I come here to dance and enjoy the night!! Come and enjoy this magical club.🥰🥰
