About this place Kill Your Idol

Kill Your Idol is a dive bar on Española Way with a mixed gay and straight crowd. It isn't a dedicated gay bar, but its queer programming is regular enough to list it here. There's drag every Friday, karaoke on Thursday, and Gender Blender, a monthly queer punk and drag party hosted by Karloz Torres since 2017. The decor is pure kitsch: a Bruce Lee statue, a bottle chandelier and a pinball machine. DJs lean indie and punk, there's no cover and drinks are cheap for South Beach. Google gives it 4.5 from about 850 reviews. For a fully gay night, Twist is a few blocks south on Washington Avenue.

Had the most amazing cocktails ever. A lil pricy, but a small premium to pay on the amazing vibes and bar tenders. My girlfriend and I had the FILTHIEST martini and it was to die. We also had a few appletinis. There was an awesome rock and roll band. I’ll be back
