The myth of Miami – we had a wonderful time at the Rose Bar in the lobby. We didn't want to miss the reopening of an icon – the Delano Miami Beach, which reopened in May after years of restoration. The long, elegant lobby, in particular, is a draw for design enthusiasts. It stretches seemingly endlessly through the building and serves as a stage, a catwalk, a meeting place for the beautiful and famous. High ceilings, distinctive columns, and the clean, almost entirely cream-white design lend the space an extraordinary tranquility – and at the same time, a tremendous presence. The lobby alone, and a cocktail at the Rose Bar, is worth the trip.
I visited the Delano Miami Beach for the first time today and it was an exceptional experience from the moment I walked in. Jelena, the concierge, graciously walked us to the beach area with a mini tour of the hotel, which is stunning by the way. Gary, the manager, then escorted us to the beach where we were greeted by an attentive and friendly beach manager who had everything perfectly set up for us. The beach chairs are in a league of their own. Think less chair, more bed. My two friends were out cold on either side of me as I wrote this. Mohammed took excellent care of us throughout the day, and the food was genuinely good. We all went with the burger and fresh juice and had zero complaints. The whole experience felt effortless and well-run. Every person we encountered was warm, attentive, and clearly took pride in what they do. A special thank you to Fernando, the concierge, who arranged everything for us. The Delano has earned a regular.
Dropping by to say my time at the Delano was so memorable in the best way. The rooms were gorgeous. The entire property is a feast for the eyes. The pools make you never want to leave. The staff were excellent from the front door to the pools. I tried to remember everyone’s names so they get their flowers because there was never a time when anything was too much or someone was too busy to help. Sarah (at the fourth floor pool), Tatiana, Ashley (pool) Patricia and Arele (at Gigi), and Shawn, Thomas (pool) Diego, and Nicolas were all amazing. Even when it was blazing hot outside they still greeted me each day with amazing energy. Oh, and a tall gentleman (I never got his name) at Gigi for breakfast. I didn’t even have to say what my coffee order was after day two because he remembered. I can’t wait to come back!
We had the pleasure of being served by Daisy during our visit, and she was absolutely wonderful. Our table wasn’t exactly the easiest group to manage, yet Daisy handled everything with grace, professionalism, warmth, and a great sense of humor. She was attentive without being intrusive, made us feel genuinely welcome, and elevated the entire experience. In an industry where great service can make all the difference, Daisy stands out. She has a natural ability to connect with people and make them feel taken care of. Our entire group left impressed. Thank you, Daisy, for making our evening so memorable. Delano is fortunate to have you on their team.
We came for a staycation with kids. Pros: great beach and pool chairs. Beautifully designed hotel in a great location. Unfortunately, the service is a disaster. One towel in the room for four people, called for extras and they brought too little. Asked to speak to manager for a late checkout, 5 hours later still hadn’t heard back. No shower facilities. At check out they tried to charge for room twice. The list goes on… but they don’t have their act together, unfortunately.
