Miami's got a gay scene, mostly in South Beach. You can also get to Wynwood Road, Lincoln Road, and Wilton Manors in Fort Lauderdale from there. Here’s where people meet, outside and in.
12th Street Beach
This is the main gay beach spot in Miami Beach. The sand at Ocean Drive and 12th Street has been the place to go since the 1980s. The crowd's relaxed and mixed, always busy during the day. Weekends get competitive for towel space. It's easy to reach by the South Beach Local bus or a short walk from many hotels.
Haulover Beach Park
This park sits between Sunny Isles Beach and Bal Harbour. It has a clothing-optional section that's been popular with gay visitors for years. It's open sunrise to sunset, and parking costs money. This beach feels more spread out than 12th Street, and it draws a different, more nudist crowd.
Flamingo Park
A 36-acre park in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood. The quieter parts near the walking paths and restrooms see activity in the evenings. The park is big, so you'll find natural privacy in its less-used corners.
Morningside Park
This waterfront park is in Miami’s Upper East Side. Trails along the water offer secluded sections. It's a different vibe from South Beach; more locals, fewer tourists.
Indoor Venues
- Club Aqua Miami (2991 Coral Way) — sauna and sex club; the main bathhouse in Miami proper
- Hotel Gaythering (1409 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach) — a gay hotel on Lincoln Road with social spaces; its bar is open to non-guests
- Winter Party Festival — March; a week-long LGBTQ+ circuit party on South Beach
- Miami Beach Pride — April; parade along Ocean Drive with concerts
- Ultra Music Festival — March; not exclusively gay, but it pulls a lot of the electronic music crowd
