Could have been perfect 5 stars but: I fully acknowledge that the lace is being renovated- however it seems like that resulted in a mediocre breakfast and happy hour in the dining area. Most of the lobby is blocked off and you can’t access the fitness center. Pros- the location is great for anyone spending time downtown. The shuttle service to and from broadway is worth its weight in gold, especially with $50 daily parking fees. The shower heads are top notch and something I wish I had in my own house! If you get a renovated room, you’re in for a great experience. Cons- BRING TIP MONEY!!! I was ‘harassed’ everywhere I looked by tip jars it seems like. Whether it’s a tip jar at the front desk, the food area, the cleaning station, the shuttle driver, the maid cart. The lady at afternoon happy hour made it clear that she accepts tips before she even serves you the drink! If you don’t have cash, it’s ok, they are all happy to give you their Venmo prominently displayed on the bar- or in the shuttle bus. Make sure you tip well though- or the bus driver will call you out on it. lol. Luckily he never did to me- but was happy to talk about the ones that didn’t. EMBASSY SUITES- pay your employees enough so they don’t sound like they are begging for change! Ruined the whole stay for me- and I will staying at the other E.S. Closer to broadway from now on.
