New Orleans Pride
About This Event
New Orleans Pride is the city's June pride, separate from Southern Decadence, which is the bigger gay draw over Labor Day weekend. It is run by the volunteer New Orleans Pride organization, which has been reorganized under different umbrella groups over the years and cancelled the 2020 parade.
The core is an evening parade on Saturday. Floats line up near Armstrong Park and loop through the French Quarter from 6 to 8pm on Royal, Bourbon and Dumaine before returning to North Rampart. Around it: a daytime music event in Armstrong Park, Pridefest, a free block party run separately in the Marigny near the Phoenix Bar, and a ticketed Sunday pool party. Black Pride NOLA holds its own weekend the week before.
Practical: June in New Orleans is hot and humid, so the evening start helps. Cafe Lafitte in Exile on Bourbon, open since 1933, sits on the route.
The 2026 weekend ran 12 to 14 June, with the parade on 13 June. No attendance figure was published, and we couldn't verify the 40,000 this page carried. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked.
