My wife and I went there for our first afternoon tea in New York City. We were quite disappointed with their food. First the sandwich was cold and served right out of the fridge. My wife doesn’t eat scallions so we hope sandwiches are made with no scallions. Yet we were told they were premade and there’s no way to alter them. At their price tag I would think sandwich should be made freshly. Both my wife and I lost our appetite immediately. Second, quality of the cookies and muffins were below our expectations. They were hard and dry with no delicacy. Third, we ordered Darjeeling and English Breakfast teas and they were not high quality at all. The taste was bleak and plain without aroma. Both of us are tea persons. We believe our taste buds are sensitive enough to judge tea quality. Since they used tea leaves so that we can see clearly from the pots that most of the tea leaves were broken. However, the deco are tasteful and service were good. I would not recommend this place for food and tea.
