Dr. Mikaelian is one of the best a real dentist no BS no upsell just take care of your teeth and makes it easy

Not only was he efficient and did an amazing cleaning, he provided me with crucial information about my continued dental care and makes sure to avoid unnecessary work. I'm generally wary of dentists, even on a busy day he did great work and focused in while I was in the chair

This is not an easy post because all the current reviews are accurate that the Dr is very nice w a relaxed and warming office. However, if u r n need of anything more than cavities &/or cleanings, then I strongly suggest u look elsewhere. I wasted 6 mos, yup half an entire year waiting for him to try & make dentures for me. In his defense, the Good Lord did not make my mandibles easier to work with but I was able to find another dentist who has changed my life. I walked away w nothing from Dr Mikaelian save thick yellow envelope w all the various clay pieces of denture molds he was trying to fit n my grill over the course of about 6x Sat visit staggered Sept-Feb. My initial dentist had started this whole process by pulling 17 teeth in one afternoon w minimal discomfort a few weeks prior but my insurance did not cover the dentures 100%, so I had to find in-network one that did. I went back to my initial Dentist after the 6 mos fiasco w Dr Mikaelian & wz able to come up with the out of pocket difference (Approx $1,000) to have new dentures made that worked. I wz walking around NYC without teffesses for 6 mos. A living nitemare. My initial dentist made my dentures over a few visits & turned out to be a much better experience but more importantly, I was able to have new teeth made that fit well & looked great. I love Dr R after getting to know him over 6 mos & not easy review to put down, however, my life wz radically changed for the better and felt you shud know why.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, but this was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had. I went in for a wisdom teeth referral because I was in severe pain. When I arrived, I immediately noticed there was no receptionist and I appeared to be his only patient. The office itself looked outdated, like it hadn’t been updated since the 1980s but that wasn’t even the main issue. When he examined my teeth, he used a visibly dirty tool with rust on it and no protective plastic covering. He then told me I needed my wisdom teeth removed (something I had already mentioned). What made the experience truly disturbing was his behavior afterward. I’m a South Asian hijabi, born and raised in this country. After telling me about the extraction, he said it was important for me to “contact my friends and family, especially since I’m in a foreign country.” When I clarified that I live here, he insisted on asking where I was “really from” and where I was “born.” His tone and comments were extremely inappropriate, and I felt deeply uncomfortable. To make matters worse, he mentioned that “the man above” told me to come to his clinic which, given his earlier comments and how he looked at my head covering, felt like another targeted remark. I left feeling disrespected, uneasy, and unsafe. I would not recommend this clinic, especially to women of color or anyone from a minority background.

Dr. Richard Mikaelian is a great dentist! He listens to what I have to say about any pain or anything relating to my teeth. He is very attentive and super nice guy. A very welcoming person and his office is super cozy. Amazing dentist!

Had a routine teeth cleaning here, it was quick and easy! Did a great job and I didn't have to wait very long

I highly recommend Dr. Mikaelian! I was very overdue for a dental cleaning and called Dr. Mikaelian’s office mid-week and was able to get a Saturday appt after I got out of work which was amazing and very accommodating. The cleaning was quick, well-done, and he was extremely professional. I asked him about a dental concern that a previous dentist had mentioned and he explained that it was just extra charges that dentist wanted to overcharge me for. I really appreciated the transparency, and you can tell Dr. Mikaelian is an expert at his craft and truly cares about the health and wellness of his patients. I will definitely be coming back!!

First time coming to see Dr Mikaelian and the visit could not have gone any better . Got me back in the chair on time and I was out and on my way within 45 minutes . He is personable , knowledgeable and efficient . Office is clean and I love that I will get a reminder card in the mail to remind me to come back for another cleaning in 6 mos . I went to Richard Mikaelain to have my wisdom tooth extracted and he told me that there was no tooth there even though he took an x-ray! He only cleaned my tooth and damaged all my gums and did not clean it well. I am still in pain after an hour after the procedure and it seems like it will be all day. I am very lucky that he did not extract my tooth. It was a complete disappointment for me. I definitely do not recommend it!
