Pride on 39th
About This Event
NW 39th Street is where Oklahoma City’s first pride started. It’s the neighborhood event, distinct from the downtown PrideFest that moved to Scissortail Park in 2021 after a split among organizers in 2020. The bar owners kept the name "OKC Pride" after a court fight, and OKC Pride Inc. now runs the show.
It’s a free, three-day block party held earlier in June than the downtown fest. They close part of NW 39th to traffic for booths, two stages of local drag and music, food trucks, and a kids' zone. The bars stay packed late. The parade forms near Classen Boulevard and turns onto 39th on Sunday evening.
The 2026 edition ran June 5 to 7, with the parade at 6pm on Sunday, June 7. The theme was "They Can't Erase Us." Organizers counted it as the event's 39th year. We found no attendance figure, so we can't confirm the 40,000 listed. The 2027 dates hadn't been announced when we checked. It's usually held in the first half of June.
