I live in Palm Springs full time and Quadz is the place I like to gather with friends while we sing the stresses of our week away. Over the years I've gotten to know the staff fairly well and everyone is incredibly friendly, fun and always festive. As a former bartender from San Francisco, I'm aware of the stress that can happen when patrons are intoxicated or become confrontational. Last night (5/29), I was chatting with Ed the doorman as I was entering the bar. We typically exchange friendly pleasantries and last night was no different. Ed has ALWAYS made attempts to learn peoples' name and welcome them into the establishment. As Ed and I were chatting last night, a person walked by, appearing to be heavily intoxicated and wanted entrance to the bar. In one of the most professional tones I've ever witnessed, Ed kindly reminded the person that he was not allowed back into the bar due to previous incidents and being kicked out. The person challenged Ed multiple times, begging in some cases to know the reason why he wasn't allowed. Ed didn't engage into any reasons as he knew that by doing so it would only aggravate the situation. He respectfully and humanely asked the person to move along, all while still wishing him a good night. It might seem trivial to some, but for me, when I witness humane and dignified service, I personally think it's something to celebrate. Please remember to thank ALL the individuals who make your local fun spot a safe and respectful environment. Thank you ED!!!

Ed is one of the kindest bouncers. He made me feel welcome and answered any questions I asked since it was my first time visiting the city. Outstanding service and great classic showtunes

Quadz is one of our favorite Friday and Saturday night haunts!! We love the show tunes and Stephen, Mark and the other bartenders are great! Always do a great job of maintaining a safe LGBTQ space!

Gotta love these rumors. I would love to know your reliable source when you say Aunt Lyla was forced out of the bar? I know the owners very well and no such thing happened. It called conflict of interest in the simplest terms.

Shame on the owner for forcing Aunt Lyla out just because she got a job in another bar that does not affect her ability to host trivia at Quadz. What’s wrong with you? Very spiteful. Your drinks are overpriced also.

Thursday night crew is the best! Bartenders are great (Rubén and Daddy Mark). So grateful to Ed for maintaining a fun and safe space for all of us to let our hair down and naturally, Cairo (Periwinkle Blush) for being the most fabulous KJ ever!
