I loved experiencing this place as it takes you back in time, which I loved!! Barbee is an amazing lady, and full of knowledge, truly enjoyed the stay.

We stayed at Pensacola B&B (203 W Gregory St, Pensacola, FL) from May 26-28 during graduation week. We booked specifically for the location so we could walk to the Pensacola Bay Center and nearby restaurants instead of paying for a rental car. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. When we arrived around 4:30 PM, there was simply an envelope with our name and keys hanging on the front door. No staff member greeted us, explained the property, or gave any information about the breakfast experience the inn advertises. We understood this was a historic property, and after rechecking the listing, I do see that it disclosed the bathroom was private but not attached to the room. However, what was not clearly communicated was that the bathroom was located across the hallway and open to a shared sitting area, which made the setup feel far less private and much more awkward than expected. At one point someone else was in our “private” bathroom, so we had to wait to use it. The room itself, “Victoria’s Room,” was tiny and felt poorly maintained. The dirty window AC unit, dusty/moldy smell, stained pillows and pillowcases, worn out mattress, broken drawers, and cluttered furniture made the entire room feel grimy and uncomfortable. Both my husband and I ended up swollen and coughing during our stay. The bathroom was honestly disgusting. Mildew, visible cracks in the tub/shower, and the cheapest toiletries imaginable. The “refreshments” were stale dried-out lemon bread, bargain sodas, and not even bottled water. The overall atmosphere felt awkward and unsettling. One cleaner sat outside our room eating snacks and watching videos on her phone without even acknowledging us. The only staff interaction we had was when my husband asked for a hair dryer and ended up helping an older woman upstairs because she looked too physically unwell to make the trip herself. Maybe this place had better days at one time, but based on our experience, I genuinely cannot understand the glowing reviews. Had it not been graduation week with limited availability and outrageous prices elsewhere, we would have left immediately. The location is the only positive thing we can say about this stay.

My mom and I stayed for 2 nights in Suzanne’s room and had a lovely time. We’re both big fans of vintage home design and antique furniture so the atmosphere was very inviting and felt like home. Barbie is a wonderful hostess and the breakfast was well presented and delicious. We visited Palafox street only two blocks away and there were many shops and restaurants to try. Wonderful place, will come back!

I had an amazing 6 night stay. Barbee’s breakfast was delicious, she’s very friendly, sweet and accommodating. I stayed in the Victoria bedroom and it was great, the bed was super comfortable, and the room was even equipped with a small heater as it was (unfortunately) very cold and rainy for the duration of my stay. I was staying by myself and felt very safe, Barbee had some great recommendations for things to do around Pensacola and the location of the B&B is super convenient, just a short 15min walk away from downtown. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Absolutely 5 stars across the board! The place is beautiful, charming and the host couldn’t be more welcoming and accommodating. Every little detail covered. One of my friends I was with can’t have dairy and never expected that to be accommodated. Without asking she went and got him toast instead of biscuits. Just one small example of how they bent over backwards to make the stay 5 stars. We will be back!
