The check in lady was very polite and helpfull. However the next morning when we woke up to take showers the exhaust fan in the room was working and then stopping. Including the light in the tiny bathroom so the shower made a ton of steam so we opened the bathroom door to let some of it out. The fire alarm went off and the front desk man knocked on the door and when He arrived he was not very pleasant. He demanded the door be left open until the fire department arrived. He was advised it was shower steam and no fire, he left and the alarm continued to go off. One minute later he came back and the person I was traveling with was still getting dressed and was not decent yet and he demanded the door be opened, I told him we would leave immediately per his request. I was threatened with prosecution and a $10,000 fine for the alarm and I would be charged $250 for smoking. I would also be banned from any red roof inn property. I left the property as instructed. This front desk man needs terminated this is unacceptable especially when the other person I’m traveling with is special needs. *Hey Mr guy who don’t know how to listen. I literally told you it was vapor from the shower… steam. Not smoke you dummy. And the reason I would not open the door all the way is because she rushed out of the shower your instruction and she was not dressed, the door was cracked and I literally advised no fire the steam caused the alarm to go off. Maybe get your hearing checked. You are the most rude individual I’ve ever encountered. Wow, I will be visiting the new Albany corporate location, it’s down the street from my home here in Columbus. The way you deal with the public is a disgrace to red roof inn. If you are actually the manager you really need to brush up on training. We were polite until you tried to force us to leave that door wide open when I had a guest with me who was NOT dressed dummy. Listen when someone speaks next time. I literally told you it was vapor from the freaking shower. Get over the god complex.

I come here often. The staff is always amazing to me. The rooms are always clean and there is a ton to do nearby. The whole street is lined with good restaurants to eat at. The property itself is well maintained also. I come here everytime in town. clean. I always tell everyone to stay here.
