About this place The Little Gay Pub

The Little Gay Pub opened at 102 South 13th Street in May 2025 as the first Philadelphia branch of the Washington, DC gay bar of the same name. It sits at the Chestnut Street end of the Gayborhood strip and is a pub rather than a club: cocktails, beer, some food, a roof deck and a mixed, mostly gay crowd that fills it on weekend evenings. Google lists it open from 16:00 on weekdays and from 13:00 on Sunday, until 02:00. It's two blocks north of Woody's and makes an easy first stop before the bars around 13th and Locust.

This pub opened and has been a nightmare in the neighbourhood ever since. Yes I expect some noise on the weekends but it’s Sunday night and they blast terrible music with the patio doors open with no respect for local community. At least have the respect and decency to just close the patio doors. The volume is ridiculous. There’s nobody even outside ! Also no way to contact them on the website. I have been a patron and I’ll say it could be a loveley spot, they seem to have good programming but it’s not, in my experience, a very diverse crowd so the vibes are …lacking. Clearly management don’t care about anyone in the surrounding area. Gimmicky and lacks soul. Just TACKY.

I ordered 1 drink in the upstairs bar paid 9 dollars tipped 20 percent and then later my bank flagged an even 30 dollar charge on my card I have been here before many times this is a first. It was in the upstairs bar on September 19th 2026 honestly it annoys me more than anything around 7pm whoever is on shift there is shady patron beware

We chose The Little Gay Pub for our wedding After Party, and it was the absolute perfect place to end one of the most important days of our lives. From the beginning, Bass and the team were welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely excited to be part of our celebration. We reserved the fireplace area near the entrance, which gave our group a great home base for the evening, while many of our guests also naturally found their way to the bar and spread throughout the space. There was also something particularly meaningful about ending our wedding night at The Little Gay Pub. As a same-sex couple, being able to celebrate our marriage surrounded by the people we love in a space that so proudly celebrates the LGBTQ+ community made the night feel even more special. The atmosphere was fantastic, the drinks were great, and the staff made our entire group feel incredibly welcome. Our guests had such a great time, and it was exactly the kind of relaxed, joyful ending we wanted after an amazing wedding day. The Little Gay Pub will always be part of our wedding story, and we’re so grateful to the entire team for welcoming us and helping us celebrate. We couldn’t have picked a better place for one last round with the people we love.
