Hilton Phoenix Tapatio Cliffs Resort
Many visitors praise the resort's friendly and helpful staff, with specific mentions of excellent service from check-in to check-out and at the dining establishments. However, some guests find the rooms to be dated and in need of updating, with issues like humidity, lack of bathroom vents, and gaps under doors allowing bugs.

First time here and was very pleased with all they have to offer. Beautiful views wonderful pools and waterfalls with great places to eat and staff are very helpful and professional. I didn't get a chance to explore everything because I was too busy relaxing in the pools but plan on returning for seconds that's for sure!!
Awesome views of the mountains from your room. Very friendly staff and helpful. Clean rooms lots of pools also.
Amazing pools and bar by pool phenomenal! Thanks
Rating: 2.5 / 5 I am updating my previous 5-star review from six years ago to reflect our recent experience in 2026. While the location remains excellent and the office staff is still courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly, the overall experience has unfortunately declined. The pool atmosphere has changed significantly, largely due to the high volume of day-pass visitors. The pool service staff appeared quite shorthanded, leading to long waits and inattentive service. Additionally, the previous quiet, relaxing sanctuary environment has been replaced by a much louder, disruptive atmosphere, including guests smoking near the pools. Most disappointing, however, was the food quality, which used to be a highlight of our stays. The current menu is heavily overpriced for the quality provided. The burger was dense and flavorless, and the carne asada was overcooked, stringy, and heavily over-seasoned. Neither my wife nor I could finish our meals, and the food left us both feeling quite unwell afterward. As long-time guests, it is disheartening to see these changes go unaddressed. We truly hope Hilton takes steps to restore this property to its former standards. Also, maybe using actual beef and not a "meat substitute" is very likely to improve the quality of the food offered at Cascades, and would actually justify the price point.
This was our last hotel me and my wife stayed at while we were in Arizona. We stayed for one night mainly because it was just a last minute let’s stay and we picked this one because of all the pools and things they had on site. The adult pool is closed till July we were told so that was a bust. The room we stayed in was up in the narrowest hills you can think of and with steep steep inclines. First off the room had a smell to it we couldn’t pin point what it was but everytime we would enter there was a scent. The bathroom door had to be pushed fairly hard to be shut due to the door expanding and scraping the floor. Our bedroom sliding door couldn’t even be shut because of this issue as well. To top that off I’m a very particular sleeper I need some noise in the background such as white noise and the ac in hotel rooms usually is more than enough but our rooms ac sounded more like animals in the walls clicking and scrapping everytime it turned on it was just infuriating. Also me and my wife love our rooms cold cold like 65 and under and these rooms are locked to 68 which feels like 72. We actually stayed at another Hilton before this and it was great even a motel in Sedona we got for one night was miles better than this as well.
